Project Management Institute Research and Education Conference 2012

The University of Limerick Conference and Sports Campus is delighted to be chosen as the official venue for the International Project Management Institute Conference in July 2012. The contract has been signed between PMI and the conference office at the University of Limerick. Over 500 delegates are expected to attend this high profile event and the proceedings will provide significant exposure for the Centre for Project Management at the University of Limerick. The four day event will include keynote addresses, presentations and evening networking allowing project managers from around the world to meet with each other. PMI is the world’s leading not-for-profit membership association for the project management profession, with more than half a million members and credential holders in 185 countries. Since 1969, PMI has impacted more than one million practitioners, businesses, governments, students and training organizations. Speaking of the confirmation of the Conference venue, John Kelly of the Centre for Project Management, University of Limerick says “The Project Management Research Conference is the world’s leading project management research event, and it is a major boost to the University to have this held in Limerick. The Centre for Project Management (CPM) at the Kemmy Business School specialise in project management education training and research and have been at the forefront in the development of project management as a discipline since the early 90’s. The PMIs decision to hold this major event in Limerick is an endorsement of the work carried out at the CPM over the years, and will further enhance our reputation as amongst the world leading educators dedicated to the field of project management”.
