University of Limerick Celebrates 40th Anniversary

This September the University of Limerick will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the admission of our first cohort of students in 1972. The occasion will be marked with a series of event and initiatives throughout the Academic Year 2012 - 2013 to highlight UL's many achievements.

One such initiative was the offering of €2,000 entrance scholarships to 40 students who will begin their undergraduate studies in the Autumn Semester. Other events over the course of the year include the Face Value Exhibition depicting 40 years of living history of UL in the Bourne Vincent Gallery, the Strange Fascination David Bowie Symposium, the History of UL book launch, the launch of UL Oral History and the UL40 International Women's Day Conference.
