University of Limerick Launches Anniversary Celebrations

The official launch of UL40 took place on campus from September 28 - 30 in a weekend of packed entertainment. Over 1000 people from across the community, students and staff enjoyed a wide range of activities over the celebratory weekend.

The schedule of activities included a photographic exhibitiion, flora and fauna trails, art tours, crafts sales, a farmers market and live bands in the Main Plaza. Some of the highlights were a live outdoor performance from the Coronas on launch day, an International Food Fair and an arts and crafts fair. Sunday was a designated family fun day with magic shows, face painting, balloon modelling, free swimming and entertainment throughout the day. www.ul.ie/ul40
