UL Student Andrew Meegan Sets a New Irish Senior Record at the World University Games in Russia

ULs Andrew Meegan qualified for the World University Games 1500m Freestyle Final with a new PB time of 15.25.31 – cutting 13 seconds off his previous time AND a New Irish Senior Record! Team Ireland is rocking as this follows the great news last evening when the Men’s Football Team made history and qualified for the quarter-finals which sees them play France tomorrow Friday – 17.00 local time. Women’s Football play Great Britain this evening in their quarter final again at 17.00 local time.

Also Limerick girl Fiona Doyle who trains in UL qualified comfortably this morning for the 100m Breast Stroke semi-final which takes place tomorrow.
