Summer 2014 Events

For 2014, the Conference and Events Office, University of Limerick, are involved in the planning of a fun packed year of events. The event calendar includes sports tournaments, music schools, summer schools, and conferences. There will also be some very special events planned as part of the Limerick City of Culture 2014....watch this space! 

 The 2014 Special Olympics Ireland Games are delighted to be heading back to Limerick this year over the 12th to 15th June. The Games will be kicked off with our opening ceremony on Thursday 12th June with our sport competitions starting on Friday 13th June up until Sunday 15th June.  1,500 Special Olympics athletes from the 4 corners of Ireland will participate in the 3 day residential Games, in 13 sports competitions.  UL looks forward to extending a very warm welcome to participants and visitors to the campus during this event.

We are excited to announce that the 24^th Annual Operation Smile Leadership Conference will take place at the University of Limerick in June 2014. Over 550 students from more than 20 countries will attend this event. Operation Smile develops these young peoples' leadership skills and educates them in how to make the world a better place through volunteerism.
